RCA universal remote, June 14, 2012 By Sue Skidmore (CUMBERLAND, MD, US) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: RCA RCRN03BR 3 Device Universal Remote with Green Backlit Keypad (Black) (Electronics) Very easy to program, I always seem to have problems with techical devices (trying to program) and this was so simple and works so well. I am truly satisfied and it is not expensive.

Worst remote ever., September 1, 2011 This review is from: RCA RCRN03BR 3 Device Universal Remote with Green Backlit Keypad (Black) (Electronics) If I could have rated this 0/5 stars, I would have. It claims to support my tv, with codes for it in the "Code Manual", however, I have tried all 3 types of code searching MANY TIMES and after 3 hours, my tv has still not turned off. The directions, as stated before, are ridiculous, and at the bottom of every one, it says "If this one didnt work, try a different method of searching." It has no help if NONE of the methods work. I go to the support site, and all it does is give me the exact instructions that didnt help me the first time.

Doesn't support my Panasonic TV, June 1, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: RCA RCRN03BR 3 Device Universal Remote with Green Backlit Keypad (Black) (Electronics) I purchased this remote to control my mom's Panasonic TV which is about 19 years old, and somehow it does not have the codes for that model. It's ironic because my mom said I should buy it from a store in case it doesn't work with the TV. I thought to myself, it is an old TV, but old TVs are one of only two reasons people buy universal remotes. So, I said that's silly, it's a "universal" remote; of course it will work. As it turns out, RCA uses the term "universal" a little loosely. They also use the term "backlit" pretty loosely too. On the box, it actually says "partially backlit". Only the directional pad is somewhat backlit; the parts you might actually need to see in the dark are not. It does look nice though, and I imagine it would support your TV.
