Product worked as described, but the commands spoken to do things like turn the volume up/down or change the channel must be articulated EXACTLY as you recorded them when setting the unit up in order for it to recognize and execute the word. I purchased this for my dad (85 years old) and he really had trouble with this. He would become angry when it didn't pick up the command word he spoke the first time, so he'd repeat the command word louder or "angrier", which, off course, REALLY failed to register with the device. So he got frustrated with it and told me to get rid of it. It helps to have musical training, and thus an awareness of things like pitch and tempo when articulating command words.

I received this item very, very quickly. This remote is a little difficult to program as there are extensive directions. Also, we are having a little difficulty with the remote recognizing Dave's voice. He sometimes has difficulty with breathing and talking and this hinders the remote's ability to recognize his voice. I also appreciated that the remote came with batteries!
