This does not have complete code library like others. "Simple Setup" is not so simple. You enter one code for a particular brand, and the remote cycles through the code library until it finds yours. Could take up to 15 minutes if your brand is not listed. No direct code entry. Did not work on my TV. Other Philips remotes have code learning feature which was nice. You could program the remote from your old one. This does not. Will be returning.

If you are looking to use it with a TV setup, it is probably OK. If you want to drive a receiver with it, look elsewhere. This remote doesn't have buttons for a receiver, nor does it have the built-in codes. It's for TV/Cable/DVD only.
Ah, so you think you can program it with your own codes. That's what I thought too. Nope. It only knows the codes it knows and cannot be taught anything.
Useless for my application. I was disappointed as I had bought Philips remotes before and they were far more flexible.

This does almost everything ... doesn't do the menu stuff. Otherwise, it's great. I haven't tried to program it for other components since I bought it for a specific purpose
