Not easy to program, January 2, 2011 By This review is from: RCA RCR312WR Three-Device Universal Remote Control (Electronics) About 3 years ago I bought an RCA universal remote like this, though mine is silver not black. With this, once you have it programmed,you have to be real careful you don't sit on it or otherwise mash the wrong buttons or it will erase your program & not work. Mine won't work anymore even though I still have the instructions & codes for my brand of TV & I try to program it. I don't know why it won't work anymore. I was hoping other people had written reviews about it but as of this writing I'm the only one. When it worked, it was a bit hard to get the hang of pressing the right buttons & like I said it was too easy to unprogram by pressing the wrong buttons.

It works perfect- only thing is we tried to sync it with our TV and since it is about 5 years old the codes didn't work for it.

The buttons are larger, easier to use, AND it lights up! So when you are in the dark, there is no more guessing about which buttons you are pressing, the buttons light up. Love it!
