Keep Shopping, March 15, 2003 By A Customer
This review is from: RCA Universal 8 Device Learning remote (Electronics) Yes, it really is broke. I'm looking for something right now and it's not going to be yet another RCS remote. They're great when they work - having said that, this is the 5th unit thats died. However, before giving up, do follow the 'programming procedure' afer changing batteries; that's necessary every time you change batteries (you'll change batteries a couple of times before having to buy another one).

I've replaced the batteries many times and neither one works properly. I have no idea what is wrong with them. I'm looking for another remote right now but it will not be an RCA.

I was able to program my TV (Mitsubishi) easily, but when it came to all the other devices (receiver, dvd player, ld player, vcr, etc..), it did not work. I entered in different program codes, but no luck.
Save yourself some headaches and consider looking for another universal remote.
